A three-decade investment-banking vet, Simon was a player in Disney’s $71.3 billion acquisition of Fox’s entertainment assets, completed in March 2019. More recently, he’s advised on iHeartMedia’s post-bankruptcy direct listing on Nasdaq, Alibaba’s $20 billion spinout from Yahoo and SoftBank’s $20 billion monetization of T-Mobile U.S. He upped his philanthropy game, joining the board of the Posse Foundation, created to provide scholarships and support to students from diverse backgrounds.
